Our Learning Spaces
Our Early Years Learning Environment
We are proud of our Nursery and all the learning areas we have to offer our children, both inside and out.
Our children are able to explore and enjoy our large outdoor area, learning a variety of skills. They will be able to build dens, pick a bike and ride around our track, choose a book and a place to read on Story Island, use their imaginations in our fairy garden, small world and role play areas. There are opportunities to be creative and get a little bit messy in our water area and mud kitchen (Don’t worry, aprons and wellies are provided!), they will also be able to test their climbing skills on our climbing frame and much, much more!
Inside there are many exciting areas for your child to explore, play and learn in. You will find 2 maths areas, 2 cosy reading areas and 2 writing areas. We also have sand and water areas, a malleable area, construction and small world, a music and investigation area, role play and a creative workshop area.
All our areas and resources are kept safe and clean. We ensure the toys and resources provided challenge and support your child’s learning and development, they are enhanced and changed regularly to support the different topics covered throughout the year and also linked to the children’s interests. The toys and resources are all in line with what we teach in the Early Years curriculum and latest research in child development.
We have 3 sets of toilets within our Nursery classrooms and we also changing facilities on site.
